Black boxes appear in the image of exported .mjp files played through the DV Player

The black boxes appear due to windows using a default codec .

Solutions:
Update DV Player version
Reinstall DV Player (see attached files)
  • DV Player v4.01.0500 is compatible with all lower versions of exported files
  • DV Player v4.03.0035 is compatible with only v4.03.0035 exported files

Install the Remote Client
Installing the Remote Client on the viewing computer will install the proper codec to view the video.
This is available on your ETV Software CD that was shipped with the unit, or on our FTP site.

If you do not need the Remote Client Installed, you may uninstall the Remote Client after it has completed installing.
However, be advised that during Uninstall, it will prompt you with a question, “Do you wish to uninstall the Codecs?”.
It is important you say NO here so that you can continue to view the saved footage without the black boxes, but still uninstall the rest of the remote client software.
