Make sure the DVR
software version is 4.02.xxxx or higher
Make sure you can see video from the camera’s web interface.
Make sure you can ping the IP address of the Vivotek from the DVR
.
Left click on “Start”
Left “Run”
In the run box type “cmd” with out the quotes
Once the DOS box appears type “ping <ipaddress>” and press enter
Replace “<ipaddress>” with the address of the vivotek
Look at the bottom of the message for “(0% loss)”**
***If you have any thing greater than 0% loss it very likely that the DVR
will not record the Video or will show “Video Loss”. Please consult the ISP or the Network Admin to resolve this issue.****
On the DVR
left click on the “Settings” button.
Select the camera that you want to set as the IP camera.
Left click the check box labeled “Network Camera”
Select the Frame rate you would like to record at. **Please note that network Lag can cause the DVR
not to record at the specified speed.***
Left click on the “Settings…” button next to “Network Camera”
In the “Network Camera Settings” window select “HTTP- Pull” from the “Type” pull down menu.
In the “Address” box enter the IP address you pinged in step 2.
In the “Port” box enter the port number you used to connect to the camera. Default is 80.
In the “URL” box enter “/cgi-bin/video.jpg” without the quotes.
In the “User” box enter the username that you used in the web interface.
In the “Password” box enter the password that you used in the web interface
Left click on “OK” at the bottom of the window.
Left click on “Apply” and wait to see the image appear.
