Dynamic IP setup using no-ip.com |

Electronics Line USA does not directly support or endorse no-ip.com This document is provided as a reference and guide, and is subject to inaccuracies out of EL-USA's control 1. First you must make sure that the DVR can connect to the Internet. 2. Go to http://www.no-ip.com 3. Left click on the “Sign-up Free!” link. 4. Fill out the form; you must give a valid email address so that you can confirm the account setup. 5. Once the account is confirmed you will log in to the site with the email address and password that you just entered. 6. Once you’re logged in to the site you will find “ADD” on the left hand side of the screen under “Hosts / Redirects” and left click. 7. This will bring you to “Add a Host” screen. 8. Pick a hostname that you want to use to connect to with, something that is easy to remember, and type it in the “Hostname” box. 9. Next you will select the domain name from a pull down. Make sure to choose one from the No-IP Free Domains List. 10. Once you selected your domain you will scroll down to the bottom of the screen and left click on the “Create Host” button. 11. You will receive a confirmation that the host you just enter is created, or you will see that the hostname you selected is in use and will be prompted to choose a different name. 12. Once the host has been configured and confirmed you will need to download the No-IP client software. 13. Left click on the “Downloads” tab. 14. Left click on the “Windows” logo. 15. Left click on one of the blue “Download 2.2.1” links under “Action” 16. Select “Save to Disk” and save it to the Desktop. 17. Once the Download is done open the “ducsetup.exe” by double left clicking on the icon. 18. Left click on the “Next” button using the default install configuration. 19. Left click on “Finish” 20. Close the “Readme” notepad file that comes up. 21. Enter the Email address and password that you used when you configured the no-ip account. 22. This will bring up a window with the hostnames that you configured in the web page. Put a check in the box next to the hostname you want this will cause the face next to it change to a happy face. 23. Left click on options. 24. Put a check next to “Run on Startup” and “Run as a System service”. 25. Left click on the “Connection” Tab at the bottom move the slider all the way to the left. 26. Left click on OK. After 5 minutes you should be able to use the host name to connect to the DVR , if the router is configured correctly with portforwarding. ©2007 Electronics Line |
