411UNA - USB connection PC to DVR through USB Link

1. Stop the recording at the DVR

Press the STOP < button, and enter the password to the system.

2. Plug the USB cable into the USB port located on the back of the DVR

“USB Finding.....” is displayed on the monitor.

3. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on the PC

In Windows, a “Found New Hardware” notification pops up. When the PC has finished installing the new device, an icon is displayed in the task bar. This indicates that the PC is ready for connection.

4. When the connection is active at the DVR , “USB is LINKED” will be displayed on the monitor
   

5. On the PC, double-click “USB Viewer 1.1”
   

***NOTE: The USB Viewer 1.1 software is located on the CD that was provided with the DVR . You must copy the program to the PC's hard drive, in order for the program to work properly.***

6. The USB Viewer will automatically connect to the DVR 's hard drive and display the OLDEST recorded footage

***When the USB link has been activated, the DVR 's SEARCH and RECORD functions will be inoperable as the hard drive control is passed on to the connected PC***

7. When the USB Link is disconnected, the DVR will reboot

Troubleshooting the USB connection:

1. When you open the USB Viewer and “No DVR HDD is detected” appears:

• Verify that this icon is showing at the bottom right next to the time on the PC

• Verify the monitor on the DVR is displaying “USB is LINKED”

• Disconnect the USB cable from the PC, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect and try again

2. If the PC is still unable to connect to the DVR :

• Disconnect the USB cable from both devices

• Reboot the DVR

• Reconnect the USB cable (Repeat steps 1-6 from above)
