How to get video from Videolarm VA network video server.

As of 8/26/08 the Videolarm VA product SDK has not been implemented in to the ETV series DVR

The work around for this issue is to do the following.

This only works when you do not have password protection setup on the product.

1. Open the web interface to the VA.
2. Look for "Snapshot" on the right hand side of the screen.
3. Left click on "Snapshot" this will bring up a new window with a single still on the screen.
4. Right click on the image in the web page, and go to properties.
5. In the Properties you will see "Address: (URL)".
6. To the right of this you will see something close to "http://<addresstoserver:port>/images1full?"  there will be other data after the "?" but this data is not needed.
7. Once you see that data you can go to the  ETV software.
8. Left click on the "Setup" button.
9. Select the camera that you want to use for the Videolarm VA product.
10. Left click on the "Network Camera" check box to enable the camera and set the speeds.
11. Left click on the "Settings" button next to "Network Camera"
12. Make sure "Type" is configured to "HTTP"
13. In the box labeled "Address" type in the IP Address of the Videolarm VA.
14. In the box labeled "Port" type in the port number that you seen in step 6. ***If you did not see a <addresstoserver:port> type in step 6 then set the port to 80***
15. in the box labeled "URL" type in "/images1full?"   ***Make sure you have the "/" or this will not work***
16. Click on the "OK" button.
17. Click on the "Apply" button.
18.You should now see the video from the Videolarm VA product.
