ETM - Cannot Search or Backup Video [Recovery Mode]

Applies to all ETM Series DVR 's

Issue:

When searching or backing up video the DVR does not process the request and “locks up.”

Details:

When the DVR encounters an abrupt power loss, a red light next to “Recovery” illuminates on the front panel indicating that the file system needs to be checked for errors. When the DVR is in “Recovery” mode, database operations [search and backup] will not function properly.

Resolution:

1. Press the “Power” button
2. Enter the  Supervisor/Administrator password
3. Press  "Enter"

The system will shut-down

4. Wait 30 secs, and press the "Power" button again
5. Enter the supervisor/administrator password when prompted
6. When the system has resumed operation "Recovery" should no longer be illuminated

     and Search/Backup functions will be restored.
