Network settings reset on power loss

This can occur because the network settings have not been hard saved to the system memory for recovery procedures.

It is recommended that after making changes to Networking Setup, especially network changes, and you have the DVR set correctly for the location where it is installed, you should perform a shutdown and restart procedure by using the power button on the front of the DVR .

After this has been completed, when power is lost or the cord is pulled in the back, it will reboot in Recovery mode, but the settings should not change. The Shutdown/Reboot procedure ‘locks’ that Recovery last state.
