Convert files with the XVW extension to AVI files:
Create a backup CD using the DVRBACKUP menu (see pages 28-32 of the instruction manual on how to save a CD backup) or RECORD a capture of the footage to a hard drive using the RMS
Client software (see pages 106-112 of the instruction manual on how to record moving images).
Open the QUICK VIEWER software (The quick viewer installs with the RMS
software) and click OPEN FOLDER
Browse to the file you want to view and click OPEN. The .XVW file will display in one of the camera positions (depending on which camera number you selected for a backup)
Click on the CONVERT button . Choose which camera you want converted to an .AVI and then click OK
A SAVE AS box appears, select the destination of where the file will be saved and click SAVE.
When the process is complete a small box will appear confirming the file has been successfully converted. You can now burn that .AVI file to a CD using Windows XP or another CD burning program.
